Meditation Classes Boston – Everything You Need to Know

Come check out Bodhi Meditation Boston! Our meditation center is located in Medford, next to Cambridge, at 101 Mystic Avenue. 

We are open MON – SUN 10AM-9PM。 

 

Transportation Options:

MBTA: Take the Orange Line to Sullivan Square Station, transfer to bus 95 Outbounds to Arlington Center, 12 stops, get off at Mystic Ave @ Reardon Rd, walk 2 minutes. 

Highway: Take I93 North exit 21 and you will arrive at Boston Meditation Center (3 minutes from exit)

Note: We have a few parking spaces available on our lot, or you can use the free street parking outside.

Spirit Grounding (reservation required): Appointment can be made everyday

Take note that we have both a Meditation & Energy Healing session.

  • Meditation & Energy Healing Session: SAT  3:30PM – 5:30PM

What to Bring to Meditation Classes: 

  • Indoor footwear. Bring your own comfortable indoor shoes as most of our meditation sessions are conducted indoors. If it slips out of your mind, rest assured, we have extra slippers prepared for you.
  • Extra clothing and mug. Bring a blanket to keep yourself warm, and also your favorite mug, we have complimentary water and hot tea!

Boston | Xin He: My Shoulder Blades and Thoracic Spine Are Relaxed!

My spine has problems due to incorrect posture, rheumatism, hyperplasia, and aging. When the weather changes, the thoracic spine and left scapula pain will occur. For 1-10, the pain index is about 7-8. 

I have taken painkillers and various rehabilitation training, such as massage and cupping, and I have also seen Chinese and Western medicine, but there is no improvement. Over the years, I have learned to live with the pain.

In the first week of chanting class, I felt very uncomfortable on my back because the weather turned cold as if something was pressing me down, and I felt very heavy. However, I remembered that the Grandmaster once said that we should let go of all feelings, even though it was very uncomfortable. 

When Grandmaster JinBodhi completed his blessings, the discomfort of my shoulder blades, thoracic spine, and heart pressure all disappeared!

I’m grateful for the compassion and marvelous blessings of Grandmaster JinBodhi, Buddha, and Bodhisattva.

Boston | Albert: My lower back and leg pain improved significantly! I am cane-free!

I suffered from bulging disc during the past few months. At my best, I was able to walk with a cane, but still with difficulty. On the first day of Energy Bagua class, my lower back and knee pain was a 6. As I practiced each day, I felt more energy. On day, 4, my back and leg pain decreased to a 4; on day 7, it decreased to a 2. I continued to attend the Center’s weekly energy healing sessions, and now, my pain level is only a 1. I do not need to take any pain meds and I am cane-free!

Bodhi Meditation in the Boston Community

Involvement and engagement at local events and festivals can certainly bring the local community together. Most importantly, it is an opportunity for our meditation center at Boston to give back to the community and society that we live in. 

By giving out free magazines and blessed water, existing members of Bodhi Meditation Boston would introduce our organization and classes to event participants. We would also use real-life stories to share the benefits of meditation towards physical and mental health.

Events that we have attended:

Boston Dragon Boat Festival is an annual cultural festival that takes place along the Charles River.  At its 40th anniversary, the event drew 30,000 spectators to Cambridge, MA to view the race.   

A day filled with festivities and fun including ethnic food, face painting, art and craft for families and performance by drum team, classical Chinese music group, yo-yo team, Korean dance troop, martial arts team, etc. 

Each year, Chinatown Moon Festival attracts thousands of attendees from the Greater Boston area.

The one-day event had a lot of cultural experience with lion dance, Chinese calligraphy demonstration, arts and crafts, music performance along with merchants offering Chinese cuisine and merchandise. 

The May Fair in Harvard Square attracts 100,000 attendees annually.  It features music, dance, food, street art, chalk art and beer garden.  

Spectacular live entertainment on 5 stages.  Over 200 artisans offered handmade clothing and jewelry.
