With still a touch of chill in early April, it did not slow the enthusiasm of practitioners to participate at the annual Qing Ming Festival Blessing Ceremony. With dedication and hours of preparation by volunteers, the ceremony opened on April 2nd.
Fresh flowers, fruits and lotus lamps were placed all over the center. Practitioners filled the center and enjoyed the compassion, warmth and auspiciousness of Buddha’s Light. We commemorated our ancestors. We are grateful to them for bringing us to this world.
M.C. announced the opening of the event. The Center Director solemnly stepped up to the Dharma platform with utmost sincerity and presented incense to Buddha, and guided everyone to put palms together and bow to Buddha. We followed Grandmaster to chant Earth Store Bodhisattva’s Heart Mantra. Everyone chanted with sincerity while the fragrant incense filled the surroundings. The sea of lotus lamps illuminated our hearts. The flowers represented practitioners’ hope and good wishes with Dharma practice. The smell of fresh fruits represented the benefits and results of Dharma study.
As all bathed in the golden light of Buddha, the ceremony became a solemn, sacred and blessed painting. After chanting, the Center Director talked about the karmic connection behind life difficulties and the magnificent meaning behind offering with sincerity and chanting. The talk boosted practitioners’ understanding of Dharma and inspired the determination to attain enlightenment.
In order to share more blessings with all sentient beings, Grandmaster JinBodhi had specially blessed green salt and red rock salt. Practitioners and friends could request to take home. The salt can remove negativity and evil, guard homes, open up path ahead, remove obstacles and protect and bless homes. Because of Grandmaster’s compassion and Great Love, so more individuals could attain additional blessings and protections during this special period.
In this solemn blessing ceremony, everyone learned more about Dharma, received blessings, attained wisdom, health and happiness. Grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi on helping everyone to be free from suffering and live in peace and joy. Grateful to Teachers and all practitioners at the Center.
After the completion of the event, many practitioners stayed to participate at Energy Bagua Group Practice and Meditation and Energy Healing Session in the afternoon.
Below are a few testimonials from practitioners:
Andrea: I suffered from back pain after giving birth. I attended the Energy Healing Session at Boston Bodhi a few months ago. Afterwards, I used the blessed paper provided by the Center. There are major improvements with my back pain. I no longer feel tired at work. Today, I especially brought my family to attend the blessing ceremony and Energy Healing Session. Today, Teacher did 1-to-1 energy healing for me. Originally, I had a sore throat and difficulty swallowing due to hyperplasia. After the 1-to-1 energy healing, I could swallow easily.
Lily (alias): I broke my left wrist before. Now, it is set with a plate and it would hurt when lifting heavy objects. After Teacher did 1-to-1 energy healing for me, I was so amazed that there was no pain carrying heavy item such as a folding chair. Also, I used to feel tightness on my shoulder; it loosened up after energy healing.
The annual Qing Ming Festival is the time for commemoration for our ancestors. The cool breeze takes the rain away and brings us memories of loved ones. May our ancestors and deceased loved ones be well and peaceful. May our family and friends be healthy and safe. May we forever continue our journey of Dharma practice.
